Fuuuuck. $29,990 on the road.
Subaru will need to be close to that.

Doesn't include on roads, probably closer to $35k driveaway. Still pretty well priced for what you are getting though.

Yup, given that everyone was expecting a price around $40k, a $30k price is excellent!

Subaru... Get off your asses and announce something, or there will be a lot of Toyota owners out there!

Sigh.

The fact they won't announce pricing till mid-July is a bit worrying.

Time to stock up on TRD gear it looks like...

They've lost the plot. Why would you pay more for what is essentially the same car?!

I spoke to a couple of Subaru dealers this afternoon and they were saying a two year wait list. Hilarious. That said they did try to tell me it was a very different car to the Toyota, so it just shows how little of a clue they have.

It really sounds like Subaru have a marketing issue with the BRZ. Not AWD and sold against a strong Toyota fanbase. If they are not committed to it then they may as well forget it.

The 86 GTS adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a 6.1-inch display screen, satellite navigation with live traffic updates, auto-levelling HID headlamps, leather-accented front seats, dual-zone climate-control air-conditioning, aluminium pedals, LED DRLs and red stitching highlights. Also gets larger brakes all round.

If it's staying pretty stock it's well worth the upgrade I think.
But if it's destined to be modified take the base and spend the 5k aftermarket gear.
