Whatever it is - somebody dun messed up goodun.

As I recall they make the decision several months ago to only bring 201. I guess the whole "All 4 the driver" motto played a little into that decision. Regardless it doesn't look like either Subaru or Toyota expected this car to be so popular. There is one plant churning these cars out, and I read somewhere 1 in 7 produced are BRZ. There are waiting lists all over the world so even if they wanted more it would be difficult to get them with such high demand else where.

I was told they are bringing more in Feb 2013, probably MY13 badged, so this "limited 201" run is a bit bullshit anyway. I would expect not much after that there will be an STI / turbo verson too. They have planned for this car to have a very long life cycle so that might be why they are sapping up any sales they can get with a "budget" model.
