I currently run 1.1bar / 16psi and get 203kw. just wondering what a "safe" increase might be. |

None. It is not a simple matter of upping boost. Your tuner has used this boost, along with the timing, fuelling, level of knock and most importantly how much extra power you get by going to a higher boost. Rather than ask us, better to ask your tuner and get it back on a dyno if there is room for improvement. Sometimes, you might find that you go from 16 to 20psi and only gain very little extra power or torque. However, you are putting a lot more stress on the car and a tuner might leave it at 16psi for safety. Whatever you do, don't go turning up the boost without consulting your tuner. |

Thought I'd update. Tuned from 1.1 to 1.2bar. Peak power changed from 203 to 210kw and 400nm and a healthier power curve. I think the increase is more due to the other adjustments done on the day.
Cheers for your input. Although its good to consult your tuner, rather than have one professionals opinion it costs nothing to post on here and add multiple opinions and experiences. |
