Hey spooled sorry taken a little while to get back to ya been away with work. Well ive spoken to my mate at Perth Powder Coaters and he's said for 1 rim blasting and coating your basic colours white etc is about $50 each obviously cheaper for more rims. I also let him know your from P-WRX and he's happy to further discount that considering he's a fellow WRX owner and aprreciator.
His work contact is 9479 1356 and his names Tim or Hully. Tell him Wato sent you and your after good deals... hope i have helped...later
Dropped my rims into the guys at Perth Powder Coaters (4xMY00 6 spokes) do be done in a light metallic charcoal. The finish of the particular colour I chose is a satin/matt, so they're gonna clearcoat the wheels after coating to get a gloss finish. Price was excellent, considering they're gonna sandblast, coat and clearcoat hopefully all within approximately a 1 week turnaround.

I'll get pics up ASAP when I get them back and on the car. Can't wait to upgrade to decent 16" rubber, as I'm currently on some extremely average 185/70/R14's that came with the vehicle at purchase...

Ha ha ha! DUDE... go next door to "A & S Powdercoaters".. they do ALL of Alliances P/C work! I've ran a few sets of wheels (my race rims for example) and bits n pieces through there, usually they'll do a set of 4 wheels (blasted and coated in just about any colour you like) for $100! I had a real intricate set of rims done a while ago and they only cost me $120!! If they're really busy allow for 1- pushing 2 weeks though.

I agree that painting will always yield a much better finish, especially for metallic colours. However generally speaking, getting a GOOD paint job done in 2PAC etc will cost you up to 4 times the amount of powdercoating. For solid colours you can't beat powdercoating.

I got my wheels back on thursday, got the Yokohama's fitted/balanced on Sat

The finish is amazing, the pics don't do em justice. In direct sun the metallic speck looks excellent without being too much. In the end, I'm very happy with em and would recommend the coaters (Perth Powder Coaters in Belmont).

Pics are in this thread on the rslibertyclub.org forums.

(and if you're lazy there's a single pic here
