Speakers are not designed for providing bass. That is why subwoofers were invented. Overloading speakers with bass eventually ends in their early distortion and death.

There has been a number of mentions that 'you just need bigger speakers and turn up the bass'

If you want to keep your stock head unit, get a 20 pin wiring harness (non nav) from here: http://ae64.com/
Allows you to hook up an amp etc and keep all your steering wheel functionality etc. I have a 5 channel Alpine under my front passenger seat powering front splits, 2 way rear fill and a 12" sub.

For a pricy(ish) sub enclosure, these fit like a glove and don't intrude into your boot space much at all. I had it priced to get one made local and this was significantly cheaper - ymmv.

Also you'll need speaker spacers if you want to upsize your front speakers (im running 6 or 6.5" splits). I like these pre-made ones, but you could easily cut your own if so inclined.

They also do rear spacers if you are going to change them as well.

The only other issue is the size of the tweeter if you buy front splits if you want to fit them in the existing sail panel. I think from memory they need to be 20mm? Google search should clarify it.

If anyone needs any more info etc, yell out.

That amp looks pretty nice! JB have it for a decent price. http://www.jbhifi.com.au/car-sound-g...ier-sku-97660/

*Edit* http://www.ryda.com.au/Alpine-PDX-V9-1600W-5-CH-Car-Amplifier-p/pdxv9.htm much better

Default Volatile audio

Rob and his team have just finished my wife's GT Liberty upgrade. Polk audio speakers , hertz amp and sub, lc6i controller - original head unit. Sounds great
, workmanship excellent and the service was first class. Next week they get the STI ...

Any chance that you can elaborate on what work was done, parts installed or possible take some photos for us to have a look at?
