Exclamation need some help on 06 wrx

Hi everyone,

I just bought myself a 06 wrx but since I'm fairly new to Perth I'm not sure where to get some mods done around here.

The things I want are:
3" TBE
STI Wing
Lowering
Turbo Timer
BOV

Would I need to purchase the parts online and go to a workshop or are there places that sell and install these things?

I haven't got pics yet but it's a silver stock wrx

Any help would be great thanks.

Get your Jap Spec parts from Evolution R. Servicing done at STechnic. Body parts if you want copy ones go Ultrex.

Turbo Timer is a waste as is a BOV. My car had them - both have caused me alot of grief - I liked them at first and was all the rage about it. But the turbo timer just wastes my fuel and the BOV Attracts dickheads and police while messing up the fuel/air calculations.

TBE, its pretty undisputed that Norm Butler makes the best exhausts around here, but you get what you pay for. XForce and the Ultrex Systems arent too bad either if you are after a cannon instead of an oval.

Double check with ultrex but pretty sure the Sti wings will fit the same holes as wrx spoiler. Bolt on bolt off. You will need a tune with tbe.

Use the search function heaps of info on all this stuff

Agree with Sync....timer and bov are waste...

Also think hard about whether you want an Sti wing....on a stock bodied wrx it looks shithouse and just attracts attention....ive been contemplating going wingless for a while...

3" TBE - You will need a tune to go with it. Supposedly the 2.5L's (06 onwards) don't like a full exhaust without a tune. Search for Verso or ECUTek.
STI Wing - I wouldn't do it unless you do the rear window vane, front spot light covers and wide guard flares. If you buy one online it will come in primer only so you will need to find a paint shop to paint and install them.
Lowering - Get a set of Whiteline control springs. You don't want to go lower than approx 25mm unless you like replacing shocks.
Turbo timer - gayer than aids. (Technically illegal, check with your insurance and check to find someone who can integrate it with the factory brant system - not easy!)
BOV - I assume you want a vent to atmosphere one? Even gayer. (Will increase fuel consumption drastically. First cop to hear it will give you a yellow sticker. Factory BOV will work better than any aftermarket one up to 3 bar - which you will never do on a 2.5L)

Hope that helps.

oh ok thanks kato.

Do I still need a tune if I just changed the muffler to 3" instead of the whole system? I just want it to sound a little louder without too much effort :x
