V-Limited?
First of all Hello to all, new to the forum and already have found a ton of useful info here. Now I have a little question:
Does anyone have info on V-Limited Type-R sales and equipment? The deal is I bought a Version 4 Type-R V-Limited but it does not have the number zzz/zzz badge. I have read that the Type-R V-Limited was an "on order" car, but how many were there and how can I be sure it really IS an V-Limited? What do the regular STi Type-r not have that the V-Limited is supposed to have? Paint, I/C spray? Thanks. Aaro Last edited by aaro; 22-02-2012 at 02:49 AM. Reason: spelling mistake |

I've owned an Version 4 Type-RA V-Limited before so I know a thing or two about the V-Limited series but as this Type-R is a limited production "on order" vehicle and no certain production numbers are shown I just wanted to give you all the chance to show the knowledge about these cars.
In the genuine literature forum part I already was and I did not find the info I was searching. Also the Type-Ra.co.uk is known to me. Because of the large amount of info I found in the Genuine literature forum I began asking here, not somewhere else. Will post pics up later. The car is still in japan, waiting for the ship. Edit: did actually find something I have already seen: http://www.type-ra.co.uk/pdf/version-4-v-limited.pdf Thanks to all. Btw: Not from english speaking country, so excuse my spelling. STi Type R V-Limited is the 2 door that was only released for 3 to 4 months in Japan.
It only came out in the Sonic Blue (WRC Blue) and should have a badge on the rear for the 1997 WRC win. Only the STi Type RA and WRX Type R came with limited edition badging. RA came with the blue WRC embroided seats, Type R has normal coloured seats (red wings). It does not come with a roof scoop if it is the STi version. Only the WRX Type R and the STi Type RA got them.

check the sports parts catalogues in the literiture section, that will cover the options available when they ordered the car.
being v-limited though, it would still have a xxx/2000 build number somewhere, likley lost.

If I understand correctly then it cannot have the limited badge as it was an order based car until march 98. My car is produced in 03/98 (checked from subaru FAST), has the sonic blue color, has I/C spray. Only thing missing is the 97WRC win badge that I also had on my RA.
