yet another pit bashing thread

went to have my car licensed after a month and a half of repair work done this morning and everything passed except for haveing second hand airbags installed, supposedly there is some magical law stating this cannot be done, but because we are smarter than the pit guys, and we know some road saftey officer law guy, don't know him that well i guess but he says that is bullshit!!! the inspectors the the pits, easter perth mostly don't know shit about what they are doing, they asked me for my repair invoice, so aparently i have to bill myself for the work i carry out... what the......

I have dealt with the dudes at the east perth pits before, they are usually really good. Strange you had any problems imo

Yeah they need a recipt for every part you replace just to make sure it's not stolen but as far as work on the car just get a letter from your old man stating his business & saying he did it for free, ring a few wreckers & they should be able to clarify the airbag problem.

dont go back to east perth, they are the worst, go to midlands. Best guys there.

Not any more if there is a certain "dark skinned fellow" working there with an accent like MhatMcoat......he is a pedantic prick and I've been told he is there permainently now, so beware.

they say that it is "illegal" to install second hand airbags that HAVEN'T been previously deployed, as they wld still work... anyways had our safty officer/law guy speak/yell at the east perth inspectors superiors who passed it on... so all gd just gotta take more time off wk and get plates from licenseing center
