As is.....when i saw "my12 rims" i thought yuk but they actually look really good on the GCs....
Which is good because they look shit on the MY12's. |
Here are a few examples of wheel colours on blue GCs to get you thinking:
Gold: Gun Metal: White: Silver/Grey Black: |
I know that now, thanks mostly to the availability of cheap Rotas, white is considered 'overdone' but I much prefer blue on white than blue on gold.
I guess it depends on the look you're after. In my mind: WR Blue on gold = Rally Spec Blue on white = Track Spec
Agree greatly. Blue on Black for track spec too. |
Getting them re-powdercoated to silver would look good :-)
|
Personally I have always liked the gold but I reckon they do look good as they are from the pics.
Leave them as is for now, you can always change them later if your still not happy. |
Those WRP10 gunmetal rims on the blue GC are a perfect match.
|
going to leave as is for a while, i really like both looks the rally look was initially what I was trying to achieve, the plans are to colour code the whole car, I have managed to source colour coded handles and mirrors since purchasing the car but not the side sils and spats.
Once colour coded I was thinking of a Carbon fibre P1 Splitter and foglamp covers colour coded, I am going to get my tints re done a little darker and possibly an STi rear Spoiler. Once thios is done I will start on the engine with a few tasty mods. Hey just on the off chance, what tyres would you recommend that are cheap say $125 -$140 a corner? cheaper if possible? |
and where would you guys go?
|
Wouldn't recommend cheap shit tyres at all....you drive a performance car, so get good tyres :)
But try tirerack or demontweeks which are overseas sellers....you will be able to get good tyres for a fraction of the price you pay locally.....that's what alot of people do. Then just take them to your local Bob Jane for fitting and balancing (around $20 a corner) |
demon Tweeks is the UK i think???
Its funny how we can get performance tyres cheaper in outside australia than it is to source locally...... I had a set of Toyo Proxes TR1 on my s2000 great in the dry but even better in the wet will look out for a set of those. cheers again |
