Not really, I haven't driven the car out yet since the install. But definetly won't "activate" the extension while driving around the city. The button on the top (as you can see in the picture) activates the actual extension - lifts it up and forward. (You can't really adjust the high and the width of the extension, it just pops up, which makes it easy to activate/deactivate) The button that open the small box/compartment is still at the bottom, just like the original one.

I bought it cause I live in northern suburb, and almost every weekend need to drive down to Canning vale for family dinner, just want to be relaxed while on those 2 highways.

That would work well on the freeway for sure, around town it would be annoying. But the fact you can push it forward and back means you can have it both ways.

Very nice.. looks excellent too, the stitching matches beautifully!

Thanks guys. I have updated some pictures on page 1.

I drove down to Freo last night with the armrest extension activated all the time, it didn't cause any troubles at all. (Maybe I am not a very tall guy with long arms ... Haha )
