How do I know? My uncle back in late 1997 did everything in his power to purchase one but was told all 5 where sold, 1 to a subaru employee and i cant remember the rest. But it was definitely 5
He settled for a V5 2 door in white instead

This is also a Jap spec one bought over here as all 5 bought to Australia were a part of the 25 exported word wide that were not numbered like the 400 produced for the Japanese market. Dave Richards, Nicky Grist and Colin Mcrae all had a 22b but numbered 000. There is also 1 in the Subaru head office in Japan numbered 000

I think that jap spec one was for sale about a year ago (it was for sale on car sales) for 60k but was unable to be street registered.

There's more than 5 in WA iirc.

Yeah this is spot on. The others you see around are personal imports and there was also one that I've seen sell which could only be used for racing, not to be registered.

Are there any for sale now apart from the one on Carsales?
