Hey gang! long time no noob questions :)

when i return to perth in 5 days, i will be selling my 03 sti and buying an 06.
i am just after what you's would think would be better for me financially.

1. to trade in my car with mods. (TBE, extractors, unichip, 18psi, king springs, CAI.)

2. or should i take all the mods off, convert car back to stock, trade in car and sell mods seperately?

would subaru pay more for a car that is stock?

this is the car that makes big numbers on psi's dyno. remember....

this is the first time i've been able to use the net in 3 weeks. so i may not rear any replys till i get home.

take off the mods and sell it separately.

Mate I think you would be way better taking them off and selling them seperately. Car dealers dont look at how fast the car goes they look at the Variety of buyers they can sell it to, with all the mods it will only appeal to a certain group of people without the mods it will appeal to all. They will also not pay you any more with the mods than without.

lol the 06 will make more power and will be slower hein :)

sell off the parts and buy an 05 STi, probably the best of the new era released and u can trust that engine :)

whats the difference? tricky diff/ sum ali arms and a pollen filter!

i actually don't mind the new 06 front ends but i'd still go an 05 STi if i was looking at buying a newer WRX.

Very nice car dont get me wrong but i dont think he would want to go from a 03 to a 01 and pay 90k + when he could get a brand new EV0/STi for alot less!

if warranty isnt an issue (who keesp their car stock anyhow), get a new model 06/07, then just swap the short motor to a EJ207, keep the 2.5 heads and you got yourself a winner.

evos sure are crap, just look at the results from dutton :rolleyes:

drove an evo. Made me want a rex. So i got one. Gimmie an awesome daily driver with some balls neday. pretty sure theres more bolt on mods for and 05 and 06 than the evo 9 aswell.
If you sold ur car privately you would prob get a bit more for ur rex with mods rather than taking it back to stock. But you would make more money by selling off the parts and trading in your car. might even be able to use some of the parts on the new rex.

CRAP..... look over in the US for parts and accessories. Cost about the same landed here and will spank a rex any day....... Either way both cars are great value for money, every one has different opinions as to what to get. Me if I could my next car would be an Evo IX or even a Evo 5 or 6.5........

It is still a Lancer!!!! Dumb no brain chicks drive lancers! But if you want to be in that category thats your choice.
Personally I could never drive a lancer and yeh thats my opinion but I would never spend 65k on a lancer EVER!

Thats like saying that only middle aged woman/ older women drive Wrx's...... How many middle aged women/older woman do yo usee driving imprezza's, wrx's etc??? Its still an imprezza??? same quoter isnt it???? I total respect your opionion, but at the end of the day every top line jap car being a rex, or an evo has a younger brother or sister that is the base model. You cant go off a base model to say one is better than another, ones a chicks car and ones a granny car for there not the same apples....... Is this a fair call???
