Default Pricey brakes/Recommendations???

Hi all sorry to bring this up again but I've got a 94 wrx and it needs all the rotors and pads replaced and i got some prices but would like to know if that is the best i can do or any recommendations as I am not quite sure if thats the best way to go.

Mainly street driving (some spirited too ) with the occasional wednesday night down at the plex

Front: DBA slotted standards- $160

DS2500 - $155

Rear: DBA slotted standards- $160

DS2500 - $140

Thanks

Kayne

prices seem about right, where did you get the quotes from ?
Your best bet is to contact joe (balistic) on these forums (or i'm sure he'll see this thread) and see if he can get better prices on the gear for you. As an indication on my last 2 cars, discs have been around the $150 mark each, and pads (RaceBrakes RB74 for my liberty and custom made ds2500s for my GTX) have been in the $200 region for an end

Roughly $600 - $700 with discs from JWS, Just swap them over, pretty straight forward job.

those price sounds very reasonable for local market

it really hurts everytime you change pads & rotors if u have brembos

and chee's right, a 4-pot setup (front at least) makes a big difference in ur braking prowess (try grab a set off my02+ models)

yeh do the 4 pots conversion on the front at least. i had a 98 with just the two pots, only had replaced the standard pads with bendix ultimates, got my new 98 wrx with the my00 4 pots along wit DBA slotted rotors and ultimate pads, noticed a huuge difference, get the 4 pots for the front dude.
