So...If you had an MY11 STI
This a hypothetical question... but if you had an MY11 STI and $10,000.00 to spend on it, what would your first mods be?
(Note I don't have 10K, I'm just curious to see which way people would go.) |
Exhaust, tune, coilovers
|
Personally for me, it would have to be either of the following.

wider/lighter rims (not hellaflush/hellafail spec)
suspension (shocks/springs/coilovers)
better rubber on the wheels
retune
exhaust (complete system or new downpipe)
|
an or a?
-exhaust -re-tune -coilovers + wheels -sub/amp |
Exhaust, Lowered springs/shocks, whiteline anti-roll bars, Forged 18's.
And with proceeds from selling stock wheels; tail-light overlays, Ultrex lip kit, tint. |
White line kit threw out , exhaust, tune, better tyres

I'm liking the variation in answers here.
One thing... the part going on must be better than the one coming off (i.e no swaps for shit quality). |

One thing... the part going on must be better than the one coming off (i.e no swaps for shit quality).
Don't bother with coilovers then. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the inverted KYB dampers the STi has as original. Why do people think they need adjustable spring platforms to go fast? All they do is slip down so the 4 corners are all uneven, the brake lines and ABS wiring chafe because 90% of the time they are unsecured or secured poorly. The solid tops knock and rarely turn properly as opposed to the stock rubber/ball bearing tops. I'd buy rims, springs, tyres, brake pads and save the rest. |
Wider rims to fill the guards, good rubber, upgraded pads, spend the rest on track days.
