Captain at standard level
Default 05 wrx giving me fits

Hey Guys....the Captain here from New York, Having a problem with the idle, hesitation and surging RPMS with any shifts past 4 grand. The trottle body has been cleaned, MAF checked, IACV replaced, no vacuum leaks.
Next week I'm replacing the trottle position sensor. The car is throwing no codes, BUT I hooked up the accessport while I was out in it and I under the impression that if the accessport reads zero at idle and zero without giving gas the car runs fine, then It will spike up to 5,6,7, without giving any gas and will automatically run like crap . Im thinking the TPS is on its way out since its not always going back to zero at idle. What do you guys think?

My 98 wrx is doing this atm. Spent all day changing hoses and cleaning things and nothing helped. After Getting bit ITSHY
I went and had a beer and started again
Checking everything started at the maf with a hose jammed in my ear i heard nothing but when i stuck my whole head in there i found that the pcv hose had come off and was sitting in a spot that looked normal. .. after reconnecting
The hose to the valve under tb the car runs like new. . Not sure if this helps much .

Captain thanks you for a possible answer to his two and a half year old question.
