Version V STi dream

Gday guys and girls.
I have a huge dilemma, and its driving me crazy.
in 1998 i was 16 years old, and when the version V Sti came out, i always wanted one. I am in love with the car. Problem was, I was 16. And didn't have $69,000 for one.
Now, coming upto 15 years later, I own a Holden Cruze CDX. Not the most exciting car in the world. But a reliable, cheap good looking car, with leather seats, heated seats, satnav ect.

Now... here is the issue. I dont want to have any regrets and I feel if i never own one of these cars I will kick myself in years to come.
Now I cannot make up my mind if i want to trade in a brand new car, for a 15 year old car, that I love.

Please guys, can you give me pro's and con's of selling a brand new car for a 15 year old car..... and if what would you do in my position

That depends on the v5sti you want.

Brand new cars will give you all that warranty and peace of mind that hte motor wont blow because it hasnt been modded or been around more than jenna jameson.

If i were 35 and hadn't already had what i wanted, i'd get rid of the cruze and buy what i want.

Just do your research first, get the car you want checked by STechnic and if you're happy with the results, buy the thing.

I've been aching to get a v5sti aswell.. and I'm torn between a holiday visa in canada or buying a v5 sti and sticking around....

Drive one, then make your decision.

If you can do it keep the Cruze AND get the V5.
The first issue will be finding one. Dont see them for sale here in WA often.
You may have to look over east.

If you find a good condition one with good servicing history the reliability wont necessarily be an issue,
and there are some great Subaru specialists here in Perth that will keep you on the road.

Obviously you have to do without some benefits like your heated leather seats and decent fuel economy.
But the driving sensation will more than make up for that.

Replacement tyres will probably be more expensive, and if you choose to go down the modification path
then be prepared to keep spending.

Drive one and you will probably find that the decision will be easy.

I love them, but cant justify it, considering you can get a newer sti for the same price
