26" is mountain biker
29" is roady in disguise. Ive ridden both, and will stick to 26". 29" just make the ride boring, it takes all the fun out of having to pick good lines and try that little harder to carry speed. They are fast though. |
haha didn't mean to start a 26" vs 29" debate. I'm happy with my choice.
Just out of interest what 29er did you ride Tony? |
I raced a specialized camber 29'er at the jarrahdale 6hr last year. 100mm front and rear, Borrowed it off Wembley cycles. I normally ride a trek remedy. But wanted to try a 29"er for the race. I did do a lap on my remedy and wasnt impressed by how much the camber fuck me over on the tight stuff. On the remedy i flew threw it, on the 29'er i felt like i was on a fricken boat. On the climbs the 29'er was faster though. Its hard not to but one now, its all the bikeshops are pushing.
