It was sand. You get more damage to your paint when you drive past a truck coming the opposite way and I sprays a little bit of sand over your car. Stop stressing everyone.

My Grandad gifted me his old sigma wagon when I left school and it was actually pretty good in the sand! Quite light and I used to let the tyres down to about 10 psi and the thing would fly along the dunes at lano. The main problem was lack of ground clearance. I got it bogged once and some bogans rocked up to help me out, one of them asking "fark mate what you got in there a V8??"

I reckon the wrx/sti's would go pretty good off-road, like gravel, sand, dirt etc..

wait..

Just curious, but wouldn't the salty sand cause rust? I took my old 08 Betty on the beach up North, I agree it handled really well, but I have it a pretty epic clean after that.

Go on one of the forums like OZFoz, lots of those guys ripping the struts and lift blocks out, should pick them up cheap as.
