So how much do they want to charge you? May be worth a second opinion.

well its been done now. I got mad and i ended up paying a total of $1200 $300 service the rest was the rocket covers and cams seals. they took $300 off the price because "we are aware that it has only just been bought through us"

they then started with the widow wipers weren't wiping properly... I said i might be a female but im not an idiot i can change those myself & was out break light. chucked crazy numbers at me for those.

That really sucks. Are you still going to keep the warranty or chuck it in and go elsewhere for future servicing?

Why on earth anyone takes a 7+ year old car to a dealership for servicing is beyond me, when there are specialists out there who will do a much better job for half the price and not try and sting you for every minor issue!

I did my first 2 minor services with the stealership that sold me the car (AHG), each one costing over $1200, bear in mind if work FIFO so I had only covered around 4k between services... It's been to STechnic ever since and the price has been around half the dealership's, and they won't fix shit that they know you can do yourself!

If you have an AHG warranty you'll probably find the disclaimer which states that consumables are not covered, gaskets are considered a consumable I believe, hence why they won't cover it. I had the same issue when a minor gasket went on mine.

('Cept I didn't have a real one, so I used deodorant and a match )

is that a rocket in your pocket smithers?

for future reference michelle its 'ROCKER' covers

rockets are found on military craft, skyshows, in pockets etc

rockers are found in cylinder heads

those warranties are a joke, they're used to get you to return to the stealership for moar anal raping, they don't cover any wear and tear items, now go to your car and find something that doesn't wear & tear, they're a flippin joke hey

I too have decided to stuff my warranty and car is now booked for service at Stechnic on Wednesday instead. If I can find it I will try to destroy it in an equally violent method as Ryan.
