Redbook is more eastern states based, and cars in the eastern states dont fetch anywhere near wot you would pay here... a car that is worth say 25grand over east you would possibly pay 27-29grand for here...

their cars do alot more driving...

No offence matey....I think that redbook is definately Eastern states prices...here due perhaps to less supply/choice I think cars (WRX's anyhow) are 2-3K dearer...
redbook says a my05 - 04 plated car is between 28-33 private sale...$28000...shit...I will buy a spare so I can drive different colours on different days for that price!

yes, definately eastern states based.
37-40k trade-in for my MY05 STi is simply not accurate to the perth market.
~45 is what has been offered cars like mine recently.

that sounds right to me - if it's in shit condition with high kms - $28K; good nick, low kms $33K - i seriously doubt you'd get more than $33K for it - what's a brand newy cost $40K driveaway?
