Default Accessories advice

Hi folks, had our 07 Liberty GT a week now. So far we have learnt that we made the right choice which is great! I'm a little uninspired with the lack of power (I'm used to HSVs) so in a few weeks we'll start with a tune and exhaust and see how that effects power via the SI drive system but in the meantime we have to get some accessories such as dash mats and car seat covers. Sorry to ask yet again for more advice but as we found out, Subaru doesn't make car seat covers or dash mats for the vehicle so any recommendations for where to go for that sort of thing? We'd like to get good quality and good looking items.

Thanks for being awesome.
regards,
Raq and Dave

I had my floor mats made by these guys Matcraft. They make custom, along with standard floor mats. I had my own design incorporated into the the mat, so if you have a logo or design that is a favourite you can get that printed into it.

@Howlfactor, thanks for that, those look great! It looks like they only do floor and cargo type mats though? I'm after dash mat and car seat covers. Also I'd love to hear about any mods you've done to your car and who did them etc.

Sorry, I re read your thread and noticed that you were wanting dash mats not floor mats.

I've only done a few mods on my WRX. I have a front lip from Ultrex along with a cat back exhaust from Wolf Racing Products. Plus new wheels and rims. The car is stock performance wise, so the power is not like some of the other members here. From what I have read and seen from other members cars the difference in power after a tune and turbo back exhaust is very noticeable.

@Mavx4 haha I saw a lot of that in the US. Love the front lip Howlfactor, really finishes off the front end. Def on the cards for down the track with our GT.

S Drive doesn't effect anything bar throttle maps.

Suggest you do ECU tune, Sti short shifter, sway bars, springs or coil overs, bigger brakes, ceramic dump pipe and 3" exhaust, tune, Process West TMIC, EL headers, bigger injectors, tune, Cosworth block, 262 cams, tune, ...

Wait ... Dash mat? Car seat covers ... Seriously?

In all honesty why did you sell your HSV

Aww GTB Liberty give us a chance! Only had the car a week so the budget has taken a fair smashing with the actual purchase, insurance and some other necessary costs. We felt that we should get the leather protected because we are in and out of the car a significant number of times a day. When the funds build up again we plan to do ECU and exhaust (yep all we can afford to do first the first round of mods). What order did you do your mods in? We reckon the SI Drive doesn't really do anything so we are hoping the retune will give us 3 really good maps to choose from. Thoughts?

@Kiiz, thanks for that, should have mentioned we've seen the Shevron ones but were hoping for something a little more upspec.

See an auto trimmer to have custom dashmat made from material for choice.

Approved Liberty streetable mod schedule is:
Rear sway bar & AVO HD Mounts
Good brake pads, Goodridge braided lines upgrade, good fluid flush
Full exhaust, intercooler (FMIC OR TMIC ), vf52 and tune at same time
Coil overs & Front sway bar
strut bar if needed

Enjoy :-)
