Hi Guys
1st post so thought I might as well make it a true newbie one.
I'm building a kit car which is based on the WRX platform and secured myself (what I think) is a good donor.
Its a stock standard ej20 from a 02/03 WRX. I was able to drive the car prior to removal of the engine. It shifted well and the turbo spun up all ok but I have limited, ok, no experience with these engines. Was hoping someone could point me to a good thread on gaining a little more knowledge and perhaps some info on mods to gain a some performance.
Im interested in learning about how I can reduce the, is it called "turbo lag"? and perhaps give it a bit more punch.
Also anything I should perhaps change out on the engine while its out?

I would also check out factory five 818 project.

Yeah its an 818R. Due late Nov/Dec. Doing a little early prep.

Search function is your friend for both maintenance and modification.

What sort of history have you got on the donor rex. How many K's has the engine down, full service history, etc?

Looks like a fun project.

From something local, not sure if its in production as a kit any longer, but one still does the Speed Event Series.
