So through my employer I have the option of taking out a novated lease on a new car which can only mean one thing.. UPGRADE!

The two options i've been tossing up between are a WRX premium (sunroof,satnav,leather) or the standard STI . Both manual sedans.
Obv the STI is more expensive but still within my budget. However it would be nice to have the extra cash in the hand and just get the WRX.

I test drove a 2013 STI the other day and compared to my current MY09 WRX there was barely any turbo lag, was awesome though i didn't notice much difference in power. i know handling is better due to the wider tyres and lower suspension etc.

Thoughts??? is the STI worth an extra $16k roughly?

If you are going to do motorsports or like to drive spiritedly all the time then yes. Otherwise a new wrx with an exhaust and tune will be sweet. Is go a clubspec if i was you. Kinda in the middle of both.

My vote goes to the sti, im not sure what the new ones are like but my 05 sti is more comfortable and has more headroom then 04 wrx club spec.

Another thought would you wait until the 2014 wrx is released ?

Just had a look at club spec.. nice set of kit (similar to what is on the RS40) but looks like they don't make them for the current MY13 year?

need to be brand new car (can't be used) otherwise the leasing companies won't touch it.

The new stule rex isnt getting released till 2015 now im pretty sure.

Then the sti is your car. Dont be a pussy, money comes and go's.

yeah i think the new one will be MY15 but probably come out towards the end of 2014?

STI it. You will more than likely want to mod it with a few months and why not start with the better starting point.
