Great marketing from toyota though. Limit the no of brz and give wrx a turbo charged fa engine.

Confused... Being released for sale next year but people calling it a 2015.

It has potential. I quite like the front end. The rear could be fixed.
2.0 donk and 6 cogs is on the right track. Not enough info to bag out the 6 speed, but if they have learnt anything it should do the job nicely. Keen to see the STI mid next year though.

On the downside it sufferes from the usual model progression of becoming overly large.
Doug likes this.

But recent rumour has it that engine-wise it will be a 4 cyl with 250-260 KW

Like I said in my post Russ "Apparently a good engine", I don't know much about it and how much better it is, but from all accounts it's good!

One thing though, if it's that good why not use it in the STi too then, that's what got me thinking and asking this question about how much of a tuning platform it will be compared to the new STi. Just thoughts on Subaru's reasoning.

There have been a couple engine tear downs (Perrin did one from memory) that were able to show the differences between the FA and EJ engines.

There are also a number of people in the US running the stock unopened blocks with different forced induction setups and the results have been quite interesting.

Still haven't heard if any one has dok'd one yet.

Edit: Ins't a lower compression ratio employed when running a FI setup? Wonder why they have gone with a higher compression ratio of 10.6:1?

I think its going to be one of those cars that will look better with a few minor changes. New wheels, lowering and a few cosmetic add ons and it will look half decent.
