Default injector cleaning

hi guys,

planning on getting some 550cc injectors 2nd hand. Can you guys pls recommend places to get them cleaned/flow tested, and also how much does it usually cost to do this? Would you guys definitely recommend cleaning 2nd hand injectors, esp if they've been sitting around unused for a few months?

Thanks

I'm still looking around for them. Ballpark figure seems to be $300 to 400 for 2nd hand pink Sti ones i think. There's someone offering Power Enterprise ones for less, but he's unsure of the exact flow rate, I'm not sure of if they're better/worse quality than pink Sti ones. Any ideas?

Mingin: is Coventry's the one on that deals with "automotive, mining and industrial supplies" with lots of branches around the place? That's all I could find in whitepages that was related to cars.

D1josh: Is it $25 to clean each injector or all 4?

Thanks guys

cleaning them is cheap and easy, you might aswell do it before putting them in. coventry's sell injector repair kits, which consist of seals, pintle caps, etc, and a sonic bath can't be worth that much, i've never paid for one (the benefits of working for a dealership) but call your local workshop, dealer, whoever and ask them if they have an injector bath.

they plug your injectors into a sonic bath which cleans out your injectors, they can flow test them on the same machine i'm pretty sure.
and if you buy the new o-rings, seals, baskets (filters) and caps as a kit from covs for under $10 a pack (does 2 injectors) you're good to go.

25 dollars each mate, he'll come to your house and you can watch him do it... I priced up a few alternatives, he's pretty much the cheapest and most convinient
