So,

I hear the business is in some difficulty.

Given how many of us rely on that place for bits at times, that is a bit sad.

Really? That’s a bit disappointing have bought a few bits and pieces off them since buying the new wrx.

Thought with JPC closing down not long ago in the same area it would have been a bit of a boost for business

Shows the cash is gone from jap car parts in general, and the level of fuck sticks to deal with in the business would be unbearable

It s a fine line but my understanding is it hasnt gone broke as such. I think its got to the point where Fats wants to retire and the other owner (who shall remain nameless) cant really be bothered so it is sitting there with no motivation or care factor.

There are a few other issues there like when they bought the business they were promised access to the subaru testing yard in japan but they only got one trip there etc.

Its a shame because so many of us bought bits from them. I called in the other day and asked if they had anything interesting but there was very little off an evo or a sti.

Supposedly there are 13 cars sitting in japan waiting to be cut in half and sent over but i dont know whether that will still happen.

So can i, start with

Customer service
Price things according to value (not what they were worth pre GFC)
Stop selling the shit off and calling it Gold (top dollar for damaged parts)

Just to name a few, it could be turned around but i believe it needs a management change or at least a good rething by the current management!

I am sorry to hear they are in trouble, but i am far from supprised

i've never come away from there with a decent deal, pay way less for stuff from rising sun subaru & they're on the other side of the fucking country, yes thats including postage

its a shame but you only have to go to the other wreckers around town to see how they should operate

I've always had a good experience with JWS and always had a good relationship with Fats.

I used to refer the Nissan import guys to him when I was involved with nissan parts though, so perhaps I was looked after a little.

I thought something was up though as I've been out there on a few saturday mornings recently but they've been closed.

Very sad if they go down, less competition in an industry where smaller wreckers are being taken over by corporations/insurance companies so they can source cheap used parts for their repair sector and who have little interest in retail sales to us lot.

Fat's needs to chill out, and give better service, in a nutshell, stop being a grumpy fker!!

I've known him for years, and I believe the other owner is the one propping up the business
