Need some info on turbos

hi I have a 2004 gt liberty the turbo is gone ..
I remove it today to find its a VF 38 .. does anyone know if i can put any other turbo on this model car without changing too much.. I know this model also came out with the TD04 turbo for the manual cars but do you have to change the Down pipe to suit??
any info would be great..
also if anyone know someone that has a VF38 turbo for sale please let me know thanks
