My mate has impreza GX (EJ20 NA) and wants to put a WRX EJ20t engine in it. Anyone knows how much would a half cut cost? Or where can he get it done? Are the gearbox the same?

your gearbox question...what do you mean? are the gearbox's the same on the gx to a wrx?...the answer is no.

and a front cut should come with a gearbox aswell.

model / year / generation plays a huge part in determining the cost.

Dont know what model 94- 96 maybe (low cost). what about just an wrx 94- 96 engine not half cut? Where to go? how much are the half cuts? OK so the gearbox's not the same need to change it then. thanks

I have seen half cuts of the old WRXs in magazines (not sure which one) from $1500, i'm sure the engine would need a rebuild but its all there...

Unsure of price, although I bought a wrx shell off him a while back for a few grand.
