thoughts on blow off valves??
Your car has one, it's just not atmospheric and its best kept that way. Having an atmospheric will leave you prone to yellow stickers poor fuel economy and requiring a re-tune.

Please do not put on any 20 inch wheels. The car will look ridiculous. Get the current ones powder coated black if you want a change.

^^above is my opinion, your car your choice.

Also not a fan of after market blow of valves. 20" wheels are way too big and will not look good.

Just realised you're the same person that was selling a late 05 sti for 39k.

Care to share how much that actually walked away for, my guess 20-25k. Sub 20k if you traded it in.

If you are thinking atmospheric one, it's generally bad for subarus, affects your car's performance, can cause backfiring, and if not tuned properly can result in a headache....but hey you'll be one of them subies part of the bov fart crew

Go Plumb back aka recirculated such as this 2008+ WRX Racing Bypass Valve - TurboXS
or
a hybrid one such as this WRX/STI Hybrid Valve - TurboXS

With the racing one you will get a much more pronounced swoosh blow off sound and won't lose any performance or sound ridiculous when driving by in the city.
The hybrid one will give you the bov fart sound of the atmospheric while recirculating it and won't lose performance either.

If it was me I would keep my stock bov and spend the dollars on something more useful, unless planning to run 30pnd of boost (lol) or want to be part of the bov fart crew.

I would like to be helpful, but instead I will say nothing.

Bring on the 20 inch pink bits!

JRecardo 12-12-2014 05:45 PM

1. TBE, 3 port solenoid and tune are the best bang for buck go fast mods for a new subaru.

2. Blow off valves are unnecessary, your stock one can do the job just fine. If you want sound go for a hybrid model that still circulates back through intake and doesn't vent entirely to atmosphere.

3. 20" wheels in a pink/black colour scheme will look horrific and ruin your car. 18x8.5 wheels in the correct offset for you car will make for a nicer and more practical fit.

4. Keep the wing
