11 wrx, Xforce TBE, PW CAI, PW Verticooler, Grimmspeed 3 port solenoid, fuel pump. Petty happy with 191kw on a safe 16.5psi...

Very nice, looking forward to getting one of those intercoolers myself.

That's a good result.
What was the NM figure ?
Matt tuned this for you with open source rom raider ?

vikingjonas 04-02-2015 05:56 AM

Not sure about the nm figure actually but it pulls really hard... I'm not sure what he uses but it's all manually done, took about 5 hours of tuning...

ALLPAWS 04-02-2015 08:34 AM

191kw with only 16.5psi is a good result, why bother with the aftermarket 3 port tho?

Greater precision on wastegate control. ^^^

Seen two mps with the same turbo, one has mac valve, one doesn't. The latter has boost all over the place.

using the Perth-WRX mobile app

seagull 04-02-2015 05:14 PM

The mac valve can modulate faster than the oem unit. I would also say the CV value of the mac valve would be higher than the oem unit. Hence faster responding

vikingjonas 04-02-2015 08:53 PM

Yes, got the solenoid mainly because it may be holding boost more accurately and at 150 bucks it is the cheapest item by far in the build lol. I have heard the OEM setup is a bit flaky in some cars...

vikingjonas 04-02-2015 08:57 PM

JRecardo, tuner reckons one benefit of the verticooler may be when stopped at lights, the heat from the engine not raising straight up into the stock type top mount.
