Does anybody have an idea what a 1996 WRX STi RA V-Limited is worth to buy????

Your better looking on import sites like Prestige Motorsports, J-Spec, Imports 101 and the Yahoo! Japan Auctions.

I remember Prestige Motorsport had a 98 RA for $12k, that was a month or two ago. But you need a cams license etc.

A couple of things. Firstly are you sure that it is an sti and not a wrx? They did ra versions of both and some people hear the two letters ra and just assume it is a sti.

Secondly, Depends on which rego it has. If someone has done the full private import (a la blaise / clints car) it is worth a lot more than a rally reg one.

I bought a V5 sti ra ltd as a project tarmac rally car. If you want any details on what that cost just pm me.

The cost of it if you do it properly i.e. weld in cage etc can get out of hand very quickly. As I say....If you want anymore info just pm me.

Yeah im sure it was a STI Ra, it had normal wear thats why it was quite cheap (100,000k's.) I'm assuming he wants to import as a race car. And Clint's RA wasnt a private import.

The car I am looking is a race/rally only import. Its was only a daily driver in Japan with 134,000km STi number 124 of 555 in 1996. Has cage and coilover installed already.

With the cage, it may not be compliant depending on the event. Im going to have a wild guess that its a bolt in jappo off the shelf cage?

The car will need to have new cage down the track its not FIA approved. But is still ok for Targa West (Challenge) and speed event stuff.

why hasnt it got a red intake manafold if its an sti, i have seen a ver1 sti it neve had a red intake manafold either or did they start on ver 3, my last motor was 96 ra itg had a 5th injector for cold starts.......
