I was in a rented Hyundai Trajet on the way back to Perth from Albany. My RX65 went bonkers on K band and within a second or so, a cop car came around a blind corner with plenty of trees from the opposite direction, about 200m away.

Slammed on the brakes as soon as the RX65 went off but still got pinged for doing 25kmh over. Good thing I had the RX65 as I was actually doing 55kmh over.

Moral of the story: Leave your K band on!

Disclaimer: I do not support nor encourage driving over the speed limit at any time. In mitigation I was rushing an aunt back to Perth for an important business dinner.

What radar detectors allow you to adjust the scanned bandwidth?

put it this way, when the radar detector beeps- do the speed limit, you cant go wrong

heh a RX65 saved me from getting pinged in the rented no birds rolla. left the unit on country mode

bayswater rentals is suprisingly stable taking corners at 140 constantly

My RX65 works on Multi Novas fine but the past couple of days it hasn't gone off for Hand Helds, I go past one all the time on Hutton St where the school is??????
Have the cops got new tech?????

I have mine on 'City No X'. Dont turn K band off otherwise it wont pick up Multinovas.

cops are using radar and laser, does the RX65 pick up laser

Multanovas are Ka band. Will still pick them up if you only turn off K.
