Default STI nr4

Just read this article about the STI nr4 that they are looking to bring over (too bad its not road legal). Read it will be coming with the 2.0L but doesn't specify which variant. Anyone able to shed some light? At a guess im assuming its the new FA motor as the article claims its the first time the 2.0L has been offered in an sti?

Haven't the Japanese spec sti's always come with a 2L?

Edit: it says first time an "Australian sti" has had the 2l. I'm fairly sure the previous generation of these "Aus delivered, non-road legal" had the 2L as well (the wide body version which Maximums have).

being this new if they put a 207 in it. it would be a downgrade the fa motor has already proven to be better than the ej series already just needs some forged internals and sti like head work and it will be great

Yeap probs be the ej207 VF53 Turbo

Maybe its the fanboy in me Id prefer the ej207 opposed to the fa20t which has more potential.

Much want

would sell my wrx and finance it even though its non road legal and just ride the bike to work lol

I'm sure if it had a newly designed motor they would be advertising it as such

In my opinion it has to be the new FA as the Australian Sti has had both of the other engines whereas only the wrx has so far seen the new engine.

Or maybe the person who wrote the article has no clue to what he's talking about in relation to what capacity engines we've had before.
