I was going too fast on mounts bay freeway entry... that roundabout there... and the car flicked sideways in the wet and slide sideways up the entry ramp. Lucky my momentum was heading up the ramp.... slide about 30m totally perpendicular to the road. Was pissing with rain. A case of the "My cars 4wd Overconfidence"

also just to let u know when u loose traction and regain it the car will go where the wheels are pointing, so if u have corrected it a little too much that car will eith head right into the kerb your tires are pointed at or whip the ass end around. AHG is a fantastic place to go have some fun and learn the limits of your car

This is something we actually went through with a few of the guys at the last RMS Training Day @ AHG. The track laid out a smooth but fast arc that lead from one side of the skid pan to the other, at the mid point a little lift of the accellerator causes the back of the car to lighten and begin to swing round, then easing back onto the throttle with a tad of steering correction sees you come out with a win.

Really the only way your going to master this is by stuffing up, stuffing up, stuffing up, and then nailing it one day. Once you've done it once you start to understand how it is all supposed to come together. No place better than a giant skid pan with grass each side

my 2 c

Cheers
Alex
