Wink Practicing Driving Skills

I recently started a thread about controlling the rex in the wet and realised that in reality i have no idea about how to control it. I feel the best option would be to find a deserted area where i would be alone without other traffic in order to practice and practice again. Just a place with a few corners and a big open area preferably.

And yes i am doing the RMS driver training, I just feel i need as much practice as ever. I am almost of my P's (september) and feel that its about time that i feel confident when i drive my car.

anyone know where there is a big open smooth road or area where i would be alone and not be able to injure anyone but myself, where one can go to practice such driving skill improvement techniques.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!!

Thankyou

don't be a monkey, keep it to the track, and avoid having the cops take your car from you..

....and in a perfect world thats what u should do, altho u can practise a little. I'll generally find a new land division with fresh roads, absolutely no traffic, and if that means blocking off certain sections then do so and practise cornering lines, entry speed, late braking etc. Mind you its not something u can do for hours and hours, eventually you will attract the wrong attention.

Words of wisdom indeed...

You are just asking for trouble from the cops if your "Practicing" on public roads

i agree but new estates where there is nothing to hit and you can see if there are any cars coming is the best place to do it if you are going to do it

you can still whack a kerb, light pole, retaining wall, etc & do some damage - the side entry drainage pits are rim crushers.
