Default Likely Damage?

Hey guys,

On friday night I took a corner a little bit quick, slid out on some crap on the road and bounced up the kerb pretty hard.

Scratched the hell out of my front left rim and the car drives with a little bit of a wobble (feels like wheel alignment is way out).

Just wondering what the likely damage I have done, Im hoping its just a wheel alignment but Im not sure.

Thanks in advance

Great

Would there be any extra symptoms to look out for to be more sure?

I did that once, result = multiple spider web cracks through entire rim and bent the shit outta it.

I must drive like a poof.

5 years, 300hp atw and still haven't broke anything other than......oh, the motor and gearbox.

it's probably ok, rally cars hit stuff all the time, if it still works then fix it when you have the time/money.

Thanks for the tips guys.

It drives very badly so im not keen on taking it for a long drive. Going to limp it down to the local wheel alignment guys for a balance/align/suspension check. Then once it drives book it in for a proper 'look at'

More than likely control arm which is designed to fail on impact to save other components in the suspension.

Hey mate,

I did this about 4 weeks ago...it ended up costing me $3400...initially thought it was just a rim. After getting the rim fixed I put it back on and it had mad positive camber, like +1.5 or something. Ended up doing the control arms, strut knuckle, hub carrier and a couple of other things. Thank christ for insurance!

Take it to Wheels World and get John to have a look at it.

Best of luck dude!
