Two options: factory struts with koni/kyb inserts with adjustable valving and some matched springs. NIce ride for a daily driver and you get a decent low slung ride height. Thats about 2.5k for decent gear.
Move onto coilovers with bump/rebound adjustment, large piston bore, quality 'adjustable' spring rates, adjustable tops. These sets start around 3.5k+ for DECENT gear. Coilovers are designed for adjustability which is more suitable for race applications thus the stiffer valving....having said that some of the premium range of coilovers do offer softer valving for a more street friendly layout i.e. bilstein pss9's I'll be opting for JIC Cross Competitions myself.
