1999 GC8 rear spring top hat orientation
Hi All,
Sorry for secong post being a question but have been trying all day to find the info I am after but so far no luck. Have got a full set of new struts, springs, mounts etc that I am assembling on the bench so we can do a straight swap over one weekend but I cannot find anywhere what the three markings on the rear upper spring seat refer to? There are 3 notches marked "4WL", "FF" and "4WR", does amyone know where/how these notches are lined up on the spring/strut for instalation and what they mean? Cheers Steve. |

4WL in the left side and 4WR the right. FF is front wheel drive so ignore.
When installed 4WL should point towards the strut to knuckle mounting bracket on the LHS...and 4WR, the RHS...

So on the left hand side, the 4WL will be on the outside of the spring (facing towards the outside of the car) inline with the knuckle joint? Similar to the front where the "out" mark is facing outside of car inline with the joint? |
