Not on an 06 model... if you want better flow, maybe replace the standard filter with an Apexi panel type. But dont go Pod setup on a my06.

And I beleive there is a resonator in the guard before the cold intake that is quite restricitve. Remove that and replace with wide diameter straight pipe.

The Filter?...Something like this...

Its a striaght swap with the standard filter.

The inner guard resonator... dont have a pic. You will need to take off the front drivers side wheel and take off the trim in front of the tyre to get at the assembly.
