thought id update this with how long theyre taking to issue fines :P
offence date 17/01/2007
issue date 04/05/2007
arrived 08/05/2007

Got a question too, handhelds used to take off 2km/h off the reading i believe, this multinova only took off 1km/h, anyone can else confirm this from their photo?
It wouldnt have dropped me down a bracket, just curious

Any updates on more than one car in the photo? mine is dead center, car behind is dead center of the right hand third of the photo...

| empty 1/3 | smokey 1/3 | other car 1/3 |

*edit*
I was just looking at yours kym, and yours was issued close to the date of offence, mine was issued close to the date of delivery. Maybe it had something to do with my rego bill showing up yesterday?

Cop cars with inbuilt radars take off 2kmh because both cars are moving, multinovas, and hand held radars take off one point, obviously coz one party isnt moving pretty sure with laser u get no help what so ever.

and to all these people abusing this dude of being an idiot for speeding and without a license, what? you never done anything wrong in your life? how did you feel when some cock started lecturing you about it in ure own thread?

Although, it can work in our favour (i take it u and i are in similiar positions..)

I got nailed on DD / Aus day weekend and after current lot of fines i have 5 points left. I forgot to pay one from last december (1pt) and they are sending it out again + the $12 late fee! Within next couple of weeks im due to get the 4pt fine from Jan.

If it happened now, i'd be walking again BUT in august im due more points back so i might just forget to pay the DD fine so they have to redo it all and i get the reminder after i get my points back

Your fine will probably come next week. My old man got his from 27th Dec this week.

As for Mat, just dont get caught fucking the system cos it will fuck you back twice as hard....

Especially if you get into the outstanding fines tangle, because in the period between you being given a final notice and your points returning you have no licence, end of story.

So if you get pulled over you are screwed.

Now part of the law is that if paying that fine would result in you losing your licence the courts consider it driving with a suspended licence which carries a mandatory 9 month suspension on top of the 3 month suspension you will have to serve.

If paying the fine will not result in you losing your licence then you get charged with driving with a fines suspended licence & this has some discretion in sentencing, with no suspension up to 12months suspension being able to be dished out.

Trust me on this one, happened to me, cost me $2000 in legal fees trying to get off on a technicality & got fined and copped 9months anyway.

Your gamble to take. But be prepared to touch your toes.
