As far as the the 2.5L goes. I thought there was some deal with the World Rally Champs that the car had to be 2.0L to compete which was why they were holding off on the 2.5's. Perhaps only the STI will be getting the 2.5L and the standard WRX with a 2.0L
GT.

Hello All
I ordered a MY06 STi today and the Dealer is very confident that it is a 2.5 Litre turbo. Let's hope they are right hey! Cheers.

Apparently we aren't getting the Jap-Spec STi, we are getting the US Version with the 2.5. This info has been passed on from a couple of key people at Subaru Australia. The WRX will still be 2.0 Litre apparently.

honestly, that'd suck if we get the 2.5
the further we get away from the JDM platform, the less likely we'll see a decent full package sti over here.
