Being an Evo owner myself I would have to warn you about how Mitsubishi runs the show.

When the Evo 9 came out, it was cheaper than what the Evo 8 was selling during launch. Those who owned the Evo 8 immediately lost about a 5 digit figure when the IX was launched at $65,000 (driveaway) compared to Evo 8's $70ks. Try something like Evo 9.5 if you wish for the car to hold a slightly better value. Not sure if Aus will distribute the 9.5 but alternatively, import them if you can.

Anyway that is just the value side of things. If value doesn't concern you, the 9.5 will be a different feel compared to a STi but you'll find they are of equal playing fields. Just a matter of which one you are comfortable with.

Why they can't just go back to the classic shape, and modernize it. Stick with what works.
HID headlights, LED taillights, new scoop, and bring back the bonnet vents and few more curves. The interior definatly needs a bit of love too.

It was originally designed as a rally car first and a street car second, doesn't seem like that anymore.

06 Seat's aint that bad... STi seats are the same as the 05's it's only the WRX that they changed, they *look* less hugging, but in reality they're still hugging, just a bigger hug for bigger people they're more comfortable

06 Shape + Zero Sports or Chargespeed front ie.

or

(Personal favorite, expect to see this on my car at some point next year...)

or

(Altho i dont like this one as much.)

Make for an awesome shape... add one of these bonnets (but painted to match) and i rekon it'd look awesome...

Regards,

SiriX

They better bring out a ripper for the next model, or i won't be buying another STi. Not liking the Evo X visually either, so that's outta consideration.

Looks like i better start saving up for that F430!

you better get a phone with that M3, so you can call Huy to see which way he went in the F430.
