Exhaust flutter
hey guy, ive got a my05 wrx with a 3inch stainless system from turbo back.
ive noticed a flutter/resonating type sound under boost which sounds as if it has gotten worse over time but fuel consumption and turbo response etc feels as if it not affected by this flutter/resonating type sound and has no typical exhaust smell. Could this be from an aftermarked 3inch dump pipe and standard engine tune etc? Any help with this would be appreciated, cheers. joe |

I dont see how an exhaust can cause flutter definatly not that!
You sure its not the sound of the turbo whistling/spooling

yeah it is definately the sound of the turbo when it starts to get to towards full boost, there is like a resonating type sound and iam unsure to why this is happening.

Have it checked at a workshop, best to get a power run on a dyno to check the AFR's.
