Default Painting Rims

Hey guys,

I was looking at getting some gold STI rims for my MY03, but then I thought about painting. I recently had a rim repaired and re-painted and it looks pretty damn good.

Are there any down sides or reasons not to paint rims? Also any idea what I would be looking at price wise?

Anyone got some personal experience?

Cheers

no real down sides... just make sure you prep and clean the surface properly otherwise you'll end up with peeling cracking paint that looks shit.

Yep, it basically comes down to how it'll look and how good (or bad) the job is...no other downsides apart from that!

Get a shop who is experienced in painting wheels, and you'll be fine.

As long as the place that does it doesnt use bang on weights for the face when balancing.

And you leave the paint to harden for like 3 days or more.
