do ALOT of background reading. i mean ALOT. from DIFFERENT sources.
learn EXACTLY how a car works. what every thing does and what happens etc. before you even decide to play with your ecu.

If you could get access to a mechanical apprenticeship at one of the tuning workshops then that would be the best place to start.
buy yourself a shitbox car that has EFI and a aftermarket ECU and play around with it on a dyno if you can get access to one. |

road tuning on road with wideband and a knock sensor isnt a substitute for a dyno tune.

EFI university (http://www.efi101.com/).
Nothing beats the consistancy of a dyno. Don't fool yourself and dont risk your licence. Last edited by Intra; 31-10-2006 at 11:29 PM. Reason: added address. |

Part of tuning is putting it on the road after the Dyno and fine tweaking it for realistic driving. Can anyone elaborate? I too would like to know. |
