I hope that it's only the up pipe, and if it's rooted Hybridgx, you can have mine for a small price
Cheers Koura, to be honest, im not really bothered with the up-pipe, it was in the boot so he put it on hehe. really wasnt expecting to have it on, but hey, all good,

Fingers crossed it is the gasket,

Cheers all for the input.

I am having mine fitted tomorrow, and after reading this I'm going for the subaru gaskets.

Will post my experience after running it a couple of days

Just got my car back today with dylan's system and gaskets. But no up-pipe. I'll let you know how it goes. But for now, I am totally happy with the sound and performance.

The engine is much more willing to rev and the improvement past 5000rpm is excellent.

I'm going to go out tonight and give it a proper testing though.

i dont bother gasketing the exhaust after the turbo, i use CRC maniseal, since most exhaust flanges seem to be made out of 20 year old warped barbeque plate, 90% of gaskets are going to leak in the end anyhow.

your best bet is to get as stiff as possible with the exhaust hangers and ensure the exhaust is well supported to minimise flex and movement in the system, this will stop the flanges bending open and blowing the gaskets out.

Got the car back today, was actually one of them bolts for the 02 sensor blew off, wasnt tightened,
but now the cars idle is dropping almost to stall point. Ive read the thread

http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/showthre...=idle+problems

You think that the exhaust fumes mustve stuffed up the IAC? The fumes wouldnt have stuffed the AFM would it?

Cars still not boosting as much as it did b4 the zorst, would the installation of the up pipe in a MY99 need a re0tune?

Take it to a Subaru mechanic and get it definativley fixed right, rather than guessing
