i'm with you WRP10......thank GOD its was only a bugeye :D. but are rex is are rex and still makes ya want to cry :(. i guess there is an advantage for all you bugeye owners there might be alot of spare parts for sale on ebay or something.

Check out the close proximity of the intercooler pipework to the unprotected positive battery terminal. Possible cause?

Probably 99% of wrx fmic intercooling pipes take that path. And its covered by a red plastic mould.

On Cars with that level of mods could literally have been anything.

couldn't you just rotate the compressor housing so that the outlet points straight up and then have a single 90 degree bend and then straight down to the IC inlet?
