Default alarm problems

hey having a few dramas with my alarm its keeps going off for no reason, its the factory fitted subaru alarm...
any help would be great.

Check the door switches. They normally have rubber covers, but if they are
stuffed then water and crap can get in and short it out, thus making the
alarm sound.

A more common problem is the bonnet (and to a lesser extent the boot) switch.
Check to see it is not corroded and shorting out. An easy way to check this
is cut the wire to the switch (make sure you tape it up). If the problem still
exists then its not that sensor. Make sure you solder the wires back once
you eliminate each sensor otherwise your alarm will be useless.

Does you alarm tell you what set it off ? Mine will tell me if it was the doors,
bonnet etc... That way you can target which sensor is faulty.

nah it does'nt tell me, i checked all doors and boot and bonnet, just as i'm selling it i get a problem.
