Default Hey Ho

Hey there all in harlz (aka craig) im 24/m/tuart hill

Been around the car scene on and off for years now, started with a r33gts then after my girl at the time wrote that off (its hard to get insurance at 18/19) i moved to a 180sx which i spent about 4 years working on and dumped way to much money into it only to figure out last year i didnt really like it that much anyway

To be honest i have always wanted a wrx and since i started a new job last year (it manager) i could fund it quite well.. I was going to buy a 05 sti but a 02 wrx came up at the right time at the right price so i picked up my blue baby in about feb last year and by saving the cash on not getting the sti i was going to put a fair amount of development into it right away..

3 days after buying the car (it had a full rac check and only 55k on it) the engine decided to have a major melt down while i was driving up greenmount hill

$9830 later with a completely new short motor from japan i have spent the last 12 months just watching the forums and deciding if i wanted to go on with my project... I came to the conclusion last week that i miss the scene to much and its time to start modding and cruising.

From reading the forums it seems like perth wrx is a good community (reminds me of the old rolla boys before it went nuts) so i cant wait to jump on a few cruises and meet you guys and girls!

She is pretty standard at the moment, mainly just a cat back 3" with the factory sports kit, bov, cat free up pipe and my stereo which is mb quarts front and rear, 12" sub, 2 amps, 10 stacker and a pioneer head unit.

As of saturday i have a 3" turbo back coming, cold air induction box with apexi pod, new cwest front lip, eye lids, clear indicators, short shifter, front and rear struts.

Over the next few weeks rims/tyres will get swapped for 18s, sways, coilovers and then onto some real mods.. turbo/cooler/ecu etc etc

As this is my first time working a wrx any suggestions on where to go, cheap deals, ppl selling stuff or what i should do as far as performance is concerned would be greatly appriciated

Well thats that for now.. sorry i kinda dragged that out a bit. I tend to chat a lot! /end life story

Top work on your BugEye dude! Lots of modding potential. Seeya out there.

In terms of power mods, probably one of the most critical parts of the BugEye is it has a Cat in the Turbo Up-Pipe. Get this replaced before doing any real mods.

Apart from that, I have done Upgraded TMIC, Up-Pipe, 3" TBE, CAI, Silicone Inlet .. Verso Tune.

Yep ej207 and i forgot to mention it but i did the up pipe when the engine went in so no cat in there restricting it now.. Put that up with the cold air and the turbo back and should spool up well
