I think you just answered your own question - by doing things like putting a FMIC onto a relatively stock car

and a 500hp fuel pump - impressive!

oh and being an 01 - u really dont wanna play with a boost controller without having an over-riding air fuel controller (ecu) as they're self learning - and will play havoc on you

so u think i shouldnt have the fuel pump or a front mount on my relatively stock wrx?

ehh fuel pump is fine - its a safety feature - wont improve anything but ensure u have adequate fuel pressure

FMIC is a waste of time - no gains to be had over the TMIC setup till you start looking at higher horsepower figures - then again in saying that - quite a few guys on here have cracked 11s.. and consistent low 12s with either the std TMIC - or an aftermarket version.

ECU varies from brand -> tuner -> installation

in my opinion - leave that for a while.. do the suspension thoroughly - an DECENT suspension setup completely transforms the car.. really lets it utilise its natural talent.. plenty of threads about simple HP gains to be had - do a search - Verso is a cheap option - else a autronic/motec if u plan on doing big mods at a later date..
